Based on the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's updated classification of mixed mineral wool and glass wool, the sales opportunities for these fractions have been eliminated. We are therefore unfortunately forced to close the reception of glass wool and mixed mineral wool and adjust some mixed waste fractions so that they no longer include insulation. The specific changes are listed below:
The following changes in reception will take place from May 1, 2026 and apply to all Blue Phoenix facilities in Denmark:
Stop reception
- Item number 4235: Glass wool for recycling – closed for receipt.
- Item number 4231: Insulation for sorting (mineral wool) – closed for receipt.
Change in recipient requirements
- Item number 4040: Construction waste for sorting – no longer accepts insulation.
Please note that, despite the changes, it is still possible to deliver pre-sorted/source-sorted stone wool to our reception facility, item number 4230: Stone wool for recycling (ROCKWOOL).
We kindly ask all customers to familiarize themselves with our updated data sheets, which now contain changes as a result of the above acceptance requirements:

The above changes will come into effect on May 1, 2026 and apply to all Blue Phoenix facilities.
