As part of the launch of Blue Phoenix's new customer portal, our current standardized recycling reporting is also being launched. This reporting gives customers insight into what happens to the construction and demolition waste that is delivered to Blue Phoenix's treatment facility in terms of recycling, recovery and landfilling. The portal will allow you to retrieve information about this regarding the quantities delivered either at customer level or case level. Reporting indicates the distribution according to the waste hierarchy for each of the delivered fractions.
The method used for reporting is based on Blue Phoenix's calculated sorting of the submitted fractions and further disposal from Blue Phoenix's treatment facilities. Individual reporting is prepared for each treatment facility and the underlying distributions of sorting and further disposal, respectively, are maintained on an ongoing basis.
We operate with the average treatment per fraction per treatment plant. Therefore, the reported recycling is an expression of an average for the treatment plant at which the waste is processed and thus not a concrete measurement of the individual case or customer.
Data for final disposition/recipient is exclusive of possible subsequent sorting at the recipient.
Definitions used according to the waste hierarchy:
Blue Phoenix's recycling figures are available via our customer portal for all customers who deliver construction and demolition waste to our reception and treatment facilities. The recycling figures for the fractions shown are a running average for the last 12 months, calculated for each facility. At Blue Phoenix, we are also continuously working to improve our documentation and percentages for recycling. As a customer, you will therefore also experience figures being adjusted up or down over time as a result of method improvements or sales opportunities. We continuously check our figures, both through mass balance accounting and batch control.
