Removal of surplus soil

Large amounts of surplus soil are often generated in connection with construction and construction projects, and if the soil is contaminated or it is not possible to store and reuse the clean soil, then the soil must usually be driven away from the construction site or construction area.

Regardless of whether the soil is contaminated or expected to be clean, documented or undocumented, you can transport the soil to one of Blue Phoenix's many reception facilities. And even if you have arranged transport with a hauler, we always encourage contractors and builders to contact us, as we can give you access to our customer portal, where you can see all your weighings, including weighing images, analysis reports, etc.

We receive, handle and clean various types of surplus soil at our processing facilities. This includes both clean soil, slightly contaminated soil as well as contaminated soil. Our cleaning process for contaminated soil is based on biological methods, and we ensure full traceability for all soil fractions. In addition, we provide comprehensive analysis documentation that enables correct reuse, recycling or recovery of the surplus soil afterwards.

With 30 years of experience and dedication to environmentally friendly solutions, we ensure that your soil management is handled professionally and responsibly. As a customer, you can easily and safely transport your soil to Blue Phoenix's receiving facility, where we take care of the entire process.

Driving away land with a clear conscience

Soil removal refers to the process of removing soil from one location and transporting it to another destination. If you have a lot of soil to dispose of, you can easily transport it to one of Blue Phoenix's many receiving facilities that accept, handle, and clean most types of surplus soil.

Removal of soil can be necessary in many different situations, including construction projects, landscaping, and agriculture. Soil removal is not only important for keeping construction sites clean and organized, but it is also essential to ensure that the soil is treated in an environmentally sound manner. Much soil can be contaminated and clean soil can often be reused or recycled instead of going straight to landfill.

At Blue Phoenix you will find some of the country's leading specialists in professional earthmoving, soil handling, soil disposal and soil cleaning. As a customer of Blue Phoenix, you have access to Denmark's most extensive network of reception and treatment facilities as well as disposal projects. This ensures easy and efficient disposal of your surplus soil, regardless of where in the country your project is located.

The importance of proper soil management

At Blue Phoenix we are proud of our approach to soil management, which includes collaboration with market leaders on more sustainable soil management, reuse, recycling and recovery through, for example, soil stabilization or earth embankment projects. We also offer, as something completely new, soil washing of clean soil in Copenhagen and the use of soil in dike projects for coastal protection.

How much does land removal cost?

The price of soil removal varies depending on the project location and distance to our nearest Blue Phoenix soil reception facility. Another parameter that affects the price is whether your soil is contaminated or expected to be clean. Clean soil is cheaper to remove from the construction site than soil for mapping. If there are cracks in the soil or the soil is wet, this can also affect the price. You can see current prices for receiving soil fractions here on the website at any time or contact us for a price agreement when removing larger quantities of soil. Blue Phoenix can also help organize the removal of your soil through our extensive haulage network and assist with soil registration and soil sampling, which together can reduce the total cost of removal and subsequent treatment of your surplus soil.

We help from start to finish – advice on land removal

At Blue Phoenix we have the capacity to handle large quantities of soil, including undocumented soil, which is soil where the degree of contamination is not known before excavation and ongoing removal. Therefore, no analyses have been carried out prior to handling. Read more about contaminated soil here..

At our environmentally approved soil reception facility, we are authorized to receive most types of soil for mapping. The mapping process involves receiving, handling, analyzing and sorting the soil. After the analyses, the soil will either be recycled, recovered or cleaned, depending on the test results.
