Blue Phoenix in Denmark are specialists in the treatment of contaminated soil and the recycling of construction and demolition waste. We operate 18 reception and treatment facilities in Denmark – including the country’s largest on Amager – and process around a third of the country’s waste from construction and demolition projects. With our over 250 employees, we work daily to transform waste into new resources.
We transform waste-to-energy plant slag into high-quality aggregates for construction projects, while recycling a wide range of metals – including copper, aluminium, brass, zinc and stainless steel. Our advanced processing systems extract up to 98% of the metals and sort them into multiple fractions, while the remaining slag is converted into recyclable materials for use in construction or infrastructure projects. This maximises resource utilisation, reduces landfill and creates value back into industrial supply chains.
At Blue Phoenix, we provide our customers, free of charge, with figures on the reuse, recycling and recovery of the construction waste we receive. We recycle or recover over 90% of our construction waste, and the figures for your own circularity can be found in our customer portal, which is available to all customers as well as associated advisors and transporters.

Blue Phoenix in Denmark is among the country's largest material suppliers of recycled resources as a replacement for virgin raw materials. At our facility you can pick up crushed materials such as crushed concrete, lime-stabilized soil, SR-Grus, recycled washed materials and incineration bottom ash for your construction or civil engineering project.
